Happy 9 Months Cashie Boy!!

Poor guy had to spend his 9 Month birthday at the Doctors office. It was just a check up but who wants to spend the morning at the doctor!?! Everything checked out good and at 9 months:

He weighes 22 pounds
Is 29 inches tall
Has 5 teeth
Crawling everywhere
Walks up and down furniture
Says "MaMa"
Feeds himself
Sleeps til noon - that's my favorite ;)
Waves
Gives Kisses
And lots of other things!!

Here are a couple of pictures I took while we were waiting on Dr. Stecklow.

Poppy and Nana Laird came for a little day visit the other day and here is a quick little video and a picture. Cashion thinks his Nana is quite the funny lady!!

Gearing up for Summer!!!

It was such a nice day on Saturday we decided to buy Cash a baby pool to get him ready for the "Big" pool at his Grammy and Pop Pop Settle's. He did a lot better then I thought he would. I didn't think he would like the cold water at all. He was a little hesitant at first but then he LOVED it. I even took him out of it and he crawled right back in. He even kept putting his own face under the water. I think I've got a little water bug on my hands. Here's some video and a picture I got before my camera went dead :(

Here he is not too sure about the whole cold water situation.

First Wagon Ride

Cash got this wagon for Christmas from his Grammy and Pop Pop Settle and the horrible mother that I am...I've never taken him for a ride in it. Well, this evening was nice (with the exception of the insane wind) so we went for a ride. And he LOVED it!! He sang and talked the entire time. I guess that means we'll have to start going on more walks.

I can't believe how big Cashion looks in this picture. Maybe it's just me but he doesn't look like my little baby boy...he looks like my big baby boy :( It's hard for me to believe that in 3 months he'll be One!! What!?! That sounds impossible!!

I think food...

...is all this kid thinks about. I was in the living room and heard a noise out of the ordinary coming from the kitchen. And this is what I walk in to find. Cash getting himself a snack and a nice cold Dr. Pepper to help wash down the dog food he ate earlier :)

HaHaHa!!!!

This maybe cruel but it was very funny to watch in person.

It's starting to set in...

Wait for it...Wait for it...

...Baby Brain-Freeze!!!!

Hey, he brings it upon himself. He thinks he has to eat everything in site and eat it as fast as he can. Wonder where he gets that....Mother like Son :)

Weekend Warriors!!

Well, Sunday Noon to 8:30 Warriors. You remember that wall I wanted down...it's down!!!! I know a lot of you have commented on how good my dining room looked before and it did, I just needed a change. The walls are painted and I'm sure when you look at the pictures most of you, if not all of you will be wondering what in the world I was thinking. I promise when I'm completely finished it will all make sense. I hope it will anyway...it does in my head. Still on the to do list is putting bead board up over the wall paper, countertops, repainting kitchen cabinets, buying a rug and so much more that I'm not even going to try to list. But it already looks so much better and BIGGER. And without my Dad's help none of this would have taken place. He's such a little handy man!!! Oh, and I can't forget Spence and my Mom. Fantastic job guys!!! I love you so much for all the help!!

Here's a reminder of what the before looked like.

Here's what it looked like standing in the kitchen.

Let the demo begin!!

Me, getting in on the demo action.

Mom on clean up duty.

Look at that teamwork!!!

More demo.

Ta-Da!!! The wall is down!!!!

Cash and Grammy taking their turn at demo.

Needless, to say the whole process wore Cash out.

Well, here's what we ended up with for the evening. Not too bad for a days work. It's far from being done, but we are getting there. Now I've got to do all the finish work with mudding and all that fun stuff. We've got a bar now that I'm so excited about!! I know it doesn't look like much now but it will be awesome when it's completely done!!

Just wanted to share this picture with you to show that I did actually do some work. That's me cleaning :)

I'm happy to say there was some rewiring of the electric that had to be done and we came away with no injury. If that's not successful, I don't know what is!!!!

Thanks again Spence, Mom and Dad!!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!!

Tonight we had a family night out at the Bricktown Ballpark. Spence's office has season tickets to all the Redhawks game and we took full advantage of them tonight. They were great seats too!! Second row right behind the Redhawks dugout. It was Cash's first baseball game and he seemed to enjoyed it. He watched it for a little bit but he spent most of his time entertaining the people infront of us, behind us and to the left of us. He's quite the little ham when he's in public. Here's some pictures of the night. I think some of his Cousin Riley rubbed off on him tonight...no smiles from Cashion :( Can't wait for the weather to warm up...I have a feeling we're going to become regulars at the Redhawks games.

Of course we had to breakout his baseball hat for his first baseball game. This hat is the only thing he will leave on his head...he LOVES the Pokes!!! Sorry Poppy Ed.

Put me in Coach!!! How cute is his little glove!?!

Rowdy the Redhawk!!

"Somber Sox" Cash and me.

Hubert and Mike joined us. Aren't those great seat!?! A little scary though...you always have to be paying attention, that's for sure.

Cash and Rowdy.

His one smile!!!

Cash and Spence outside the park.

He had a good time but 5 innings was enough for Cash.

What the heck is this!?!

It was such a nice day the other afternoon that when we got back from running errands we sat out in the front yard for awhile. This was Cash's first time to set in grass without long pants on and he was so confused. He wasn't quit sure what to make of it.

He wouldn't put his legs down :)

Why do I do this to myself!?!

So, I've decided to undertake the challenge of redecorating my ENTIRE house. There's not even really anything wrong with my house...I'm just so sick of it. It's old and dirty. At this point I think it would just be much easier to move. Why, why do I insist on doing this to myself? I blame my mother. If you know her, you know why.
First room on the redecorating list......drum roll......the dining room. So, I started this project on Saturday and it is still a work in progress. I've got big plans for this room that invloves construction and probably a really big mess. But until I can get someone to tear down a wall (hint, hint Father or Father-in-law) cosmetic changes will have to do. Some paint, new rug and all that fun stuff.

Here are the befores. Very nice, but very dark. And that wall the bookcase is on...it must come down!!!

Here I am with my little helper. Helper or hinderance..you make the call.

He really is pretty good. I'd be willing to hire him out if anyone needs any painting done.

Oops...got a little wild with the paint brush. Don't worry, no paint was actually digested.

Can you tell he absolutly hates to have his face washed.

Again, my little helper right by my side. Actually, he just stands at the window and screams as loud as he can.

This is how I resolve the screaming out the window situation. Not really, just did it for picture purposes...or did I :)

Spence eating ice cream while I work. Not really...he did some painting too.

The walls are primed and painted. I'll post pics of the room when it's all put together. If I post pictures of the walls painted without anything in it I'm pretty sure everyone would think I was crazy for painting the walls the color I did. So, you'll just have to anxiously wait for the finished product. Not sure what room will get its makeover next, but when I start it I'll be sure to blog about it.

Scary Moment For Mommy!!

I think it's time for a baby gate. Earlier today I went upstairs to get a diaper for Cashion and to use the restroom myself. I was gone maybe 2 minutes. When I walked back down the stairs and rounded the corner, guess who was proudly staring back at me. He had climbed up 5 stairs!!! I about had a heartattack. How he didn't fall backwards is beyond me. These photos are a re-enactment of the event. Please disregard the filthy baby and even filthier stairs.
